Archicad, Photoshop and AI

This project is a completely fictional, self-initiated design experiment, developed in my free time out of curiosity and creative exploration. I wanted to experiment with AI-supported storytelling and began writing a book using AI as a creative tool. As an avid reader, I have always enjoyed imagining the interior spaces in which stories take place, how rooms are composed, how atmosphere is created, and how architecture supports narrative. In many books, these spaces remain abstract or difficult to visualize, which inspired me to translate my own imagined settings into a tangible, spatial design.

I approached the project holistically and designed everything from concept to final visualization (A–Z). The interiors were modeled primarily in Archicad, where I extensively experimented with the Morph Tool to create custom forms and architectural elements. Some furniture pieces are inspired by existing designs from real furniture manufacturers, researched online, while others were influenced by references found on Pinterest. In addition, I integrated pattern designs from my Edo Jidai pattern collection, adapting them to the narrative and emotional tone of the spaces.

Once the spatial concepts were completed, I rendered the interiors and continued experimenting with AI-based visual transformation, reinterpreting the renders into a more illustrative, graphic style. This step allowed me to move beyond realistic visualization and explore alternative ways of representation.

Ultimately, the project became an exploration of how personal imagination can be expressed and translated into space and imagery, how abstract ideas, moods, and narrative settings can be communicated visually through interior design, materiality, form, and atmosphere.

At first I would like to display the renderings without the use of AI to edit them.

In the story it is told, that a young woman lives alone in this modern yet timeless cabin in the woods, not far from a village. The protagonist is looking for a safe and comfortable place to be fully able to focus on her work and selfcare as she has an interesting past that she tries to escape.

The following pictures were edited with the help of AI and Photoshop, to add more details to the renderings, as well as to allow the potential reader of the book, to truly connect to the home of the protagonist.
